May 6 - Middlefield Ohio
Thursday afternoon we traveled to Middlefield, Ohio where we had a small reunion with Alumni Sarah Sundberg. We were met at Christ Covenant Church by her and Mike Southern, a leader in the church. We had a small tour and then headed to our host homes for the night to rest up for Friday. It was like a small reunion as some of us stayed with Sarah. Friday was a big day for us— full of many plans. Christ Covenant Church shares its building with a Mennonite School. Last year we were blessed with the opportunity to pray for the Principal of the school. The Lord touched his life in such a way that he wanted us to come back and pray with his students. It was a difficult time for them as the school is closing and the students have to find new places to continue their education. It was a good morning and we believe the Lord spoke to many of the students. Hannah had a word of knowledge for several of the girls that the Lord wouldn’t let them make the wrong choice about where to go to school next year. The girls confirmed that they needed to hear that and were grateful. From there we then went to another school that Mike works at called Agape Academy. There we did a couple of rhythms and a dance for children ranging from the ages of 9 to 12. Afterward, we mingled with the kids and then played a fun game called Fireman, Cowboy and Knight which Levi and his partner won.
In the afternoon, we had the chance to have some fun at an old-fashioned General Store. There we all got some unique sodas like Sarsaparilla, Birch Beer (like root beer), and Maple Cream Soda (tasted like pancakes in a bottle!) We enjoyed things like penny candy and other unique items. After that fun and refreshing stop we got ready for the service that night. They held a special service for us that evening which started off with awesome cooperate worship. There was a small turnout but the Lord knew what he was doing. All of the young leaders of the church were there and the Lord has specific things to say to each of them through the Play. Each couple got the chance to talk and pray with at least one MC. Tim had the privilege of doing his first Prophetic Painting there and was given the name Rachel before we had even reached Middlefield. One of the leader’s wife was named Rachel so Tim gave the painting to them. He spoke that the Lord was going to uncover some treasures for them; the painting displayed four marbles that had been unearthed from the sand by a mighty wind. The couple was very appreciative and excited as it was the first time they had received a Prophetic Painting. Laura had the chance to speak to a young girl and her mother, who almost went somewhere else but they felt the Lord pull them to the church that night. The little girl had a lot of pain from an older brother who was acting out in anger. Laura led her through the exchange and the little girl saw God give her a bigger heart for her brother and a crown to say she was his princess. The girl said afterward that it was cool that God talked to her. Hannah was able to speak to a couple we prayed for last year concerning trouble having children and was given the exciting news that they were signing final adoption papers for a child in a few weeks. Looking back on that night, the Lord did amazing things and everyone at that meeting definitely got a touch from Him. Praise the Lord! It was a busy day but so worth it when working alongside the Lord.
