The Sun is Shi.....was Shining :)

We arrived in Louisville, KY (home of Extern, Ryan Ellis) around 6pm on Wednesday, just in time to eat some dinner and do our play and dances for In Christ Ministries, Pastor Ted Sandquist’s Church.   We were able to minister to a few people who related to the pain depicted in our play, it was so encouraging to us that they were able to forgive the people who had hurt them and the Lord was really moving and mending broken hearts.  Also again, people told us that through the play, they felt more thankful to the Lord for the good relationships and blessings they have in their life.  Not only was the Lord healing, but many were feeling the call to intercede for divorce that is in our generation, and people they know going through it.
Again this morning we had the opportunity to minister at a K-8th grade Christian school in Louisville.  We edited the play a bit, and geared it more towards younger kids so we would be able to minister to them as well.  Many of the things we talked about, kids could relate to and many wanted prayer for their families that are going through divorce.  Many could also just relate the feeling of loneliness and pain and wanted prayer.  Through prayer and talking, we believe many of the kids truly touched the Lord and one little girl even got a picture of Jesus carrying her in his arms.  Many hearts were being touched, and we pray that even through just us getting to know the kids and being a friend to them, that they would have touch the Lord.

After lunch today, there was finally a break in the flooding rains they have been having here for weeks, long enough to prayer walk with Pastor Ted!  He took us to a rough part of town where many clubs are, we walked down the street and using scripture, we prayed against the darkness there, and prayed that the Lord would bring people there to build business’ that would bring his glory there!   Then we helped some people move, heard Pastor Ted talk to us some about the Kingdom, and enjoyed fellowship with the families here!   Tomorrow morning we will head to Winchester, KY where will do a school assembly in the morning.  Continue to pray safe travels for us and that the Lord will continually fill us with more of him!!!

First Stop- Collinsville, IL

We were only in Collinsville IL less than 24 hours and yet we were so blessed.  We were welcomed by wonderful meal and great host homes!  Wednesday morning we were given the opportunity to minister at Collinsville Christian School that is a little over 100 kids, K-12th grade.  After doing our play, we invited those who wanted prayer to come to us, many did respond and asked us to pray for them, their families and friends. Many of us prayed into into students who are lost and hurting, identity and purpose.  We prayed for the fatherless and spoke into their future, helped them hear the Lord, and freedom from addiction.
We believe many seeds were planted in kids hearts, and we pray that the Lord will continue to touch them throughout the day. We were very blessed by the principal and one of the Pastors in the church who prayed over us as we left. We received words of provision and blessing for our program, and words to not be comfortable with the routine we do, but be open to him using us spontaneously!

We are so excited how the Lord has already used us so much in just a few hours of being on the road and We are excited to continue to hear how the Lord is working in Collinsville.  Continue to pray for protection over us, provision, and health as we continue to travel!

"Come away with me"

The time has come, we are now on the road and have begun a journey of a lifetime!  We left Tuesday morning around 9:30am and drove about 8 hours to Collinsville, IL where we were served an amazing dinner, setup for the morning, and went to host homes.  As we prayed in the morning for this two weeks of ministry ahead of us, the Lord began to raise our excitement level for what he was going to do!  John heard the song Come Away With Me by Jesus Culture:  Come away with me, come away, it’s going to be wild, it’s going to be great, it’s going to be full of me, I have a plan for you.”  PD said he had more sense of the gospel commissioning us on this tour then any of the tours before!  Tim heard Isaiah 61 over us as we went out: “ The spirit of the  Lord is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound.”
The Lord was truly encouraging us and we are excited  to see how the Lord is going to use us.  Pray for us as we minister at Collinsville Christian School in the Morning to the K-12th graders.  This is our first time doing it other than at CLC and we have made a few small changes since then so pray we remember all of them and can truly focus on what the Lord is doing.  Pray specifically for us as we do our lines, it is a big open place we have to be loud!  This has been a struggle for some of us in the past.

The Lord is moving, and he is filling us with great joy and excitement, love for each other, and peace!  Good things are to come!  It’s going to be wild!  And it’s going to be great!

A new Season

It’s that time of year again, where we pack a month’s worth of stuff in to a tiny suitcase, and climb in our van to travel the country (and this year the world!!!) to share with people the message the Lord has given us. This year our assistant director and his wife felt like we couldn’t continue in same old church dramas of years before on our tour. Not that they weren’t impacting, but we felt like God was taking us somewhere new. So this year for the first time, we do a small play including speaking lines, rhythm, dance, drama and even some rap!! We address the issue of divorce and through the arts depict a family that is falling apart and the pain they are each experiencing. We then enter into a time of allowing the Lord to minister healing to the broken, and interceding, for those whose hearts are burdened for the hurting. We believe the Lord is going to move mightily as we cry out for the lost and look for his healing to come. We are excited to take this not only to churches on tour, but many public and Christian schools as well.
Sunday during the morning service, for the first time we were able to do our play for the church and the Lord was greatly touching people. Many could identify with the pain and we believe the Lord is in the process of healing and renewing broken hearts. Some told us they felt a greater burden to love their family more and have a heart of gratitude for what they do have. We know the Lord was stirring in people and it was encouraging for us to see how the Lord was moving.

In just one short week from today we will officially set off for an amazing journey! Please join us as we pray for the hearts the Lord is stirring to touch, protection and rest as we travel, and his anointing over our production and that it would reach the lost and hurting.

Here is the schedule of our many stops. We will hopefully be updating every few days to let you know what is going on and how you can continue to pray for us.
